Title – Burnout and Compassion Fatigue

Description – In this webinar, we will discuss Burnout and Compassion Fatigue in volunteers and professionals who are devoted to the help and care of others. We will review some of the most recent research findings on the topic of burnout, as well as existing literature that will help the audience learn how to identify signs of burnout and compassion fatigue. The presenter will offer strategies to prevent and recover from burnout, and help participants design a self-care plan.
Presented By – Dr. Claudia Salazar, a Clinical Psychologist in Private Practice in Washington, DC. She has over ten years of experience in clinical practice which includes providing psychological evaluations for diagnostic, educational, and immigration purposes, as well as individual psychotherapy. Dr. Salazar has also provided workshops and training to several organizations, most recently in the areas of trauma-informed skills for organizations working with vulnerable populations, working with Latinos in psychotherapy, Effective Time-limited psychotherapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Resilience for prevention of burnout, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma.
