Youth in mentoring relationships and programs can become indirectly or directly impacted by the known syndrome of “white saviorism”. That is, the act of a white person helping a person of color in a self-serving manner to appear noble or superior. In this interactive web-based training, participants will identify and understand different underlying beliefs of people of color and how white people can genuinely help through empathy and genuine support.
