CASA’s offices remain closed to visitors. The safety of the children we serve, our volunteers and our staff is of paramount importance. We are in the process of a staged reopening and continue to operate under adjusted practices and protocols to prioritize safety while still supporting our essential advocacy for children in need. We continue to evaluate our practices and response, and our COVID-19 page will be updated to reflect the most recent information for our community. Here are CASA’s current practices:
- Phase 3 child visits (in-person) for vaccinated volunteers when both the volunteer and placement are comfortable
- Utilizing Transitioning Youth Emergency Fund to respond to emergent needs of youth such as access to food and basic need items
- Continued use of video application tools for case supervision, volunteer interviews and training
- Use of COVID-19 page that is updated regularly with policies and resources
- Training new volunteers remotely with plans to hold spring training in-person
