Since January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month, this training will be focusing on what sex trafficking is and what is important to know. A quick refresher of 101 training will be provided but presenters will also discuss how the foster youth we work with are at greater risk of being a victim, and what we can do to help.
Additionally, one presenter who is a child sex trafficking survivor, will also briefly speak about her experience and trafficking in the DMV area.

Elizabeth Bowman, PhD, LICSW, LCSW-C
Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at Gallaudet University.
She is also a minor domestic sex trafficking survivor, anti-trafficking advocate, clinician and researcher.
Traceyann Frenchie Davis, MPH
Director of Programs at FAIR Girls
She has knowledge on Human Sexuality and Public Health Leadership, focusing on marginalized communities. She is also a certified life coach that specializes in REBT (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy) and Emotional Intelligence.
