Apply now for our CASA Daytime Pre-Service Training that begins Tuesday July 18th and runs Tuesdays and Thursdays until Thursday August 3rd (see below for full schedule). Participants will learn best practices when advocating for a youth in foster care and will continue on their way to becoming a CASA volunteer and making a difference in our Community.
Volunteers are required to attend one day of Court Room Observation during the training session. This will be offered twice during the training from 8:45 am until 4:00 pm at the Prince George’s County Circuit Court. Volunteers will sign-up at training.
*Please note that all volunteers who are assigned to youth 14 and older are required to take the Fostering Futures Training. 80% of our volunteers will be assigned to teenagers. Fostering Futures will be held August 17th.

In order to be invited to attend Training, all applicants must successfully complete an interview. Please submit your Volunteer Application by March 17th to begin the screening process.

Tuesday August 1– Chapters 7 and 8

Trainees will select one day to attend.

Once invited to training, volunteers must attend all training dates and one day of Court room observation to successfully complete Pre-Service Training. Attendance to training and courtroom observation is part of the CASA screening process.
