Volunteer Coordinator AmeriCorps Member
Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)/Prince George’s County, Inc. is seeking a full-time AmeriCorps Member to serve for one year as the Volunteer Coordinator through our partnership with Volunteer Maryland. The Volunteer Coordinator will work to develop new sources of volunteer recruitment to help CASA reach our long-term goal of serving 100% of children and youth in foster care. In addition to increasing the overall number of volunteers, the Volunteer Coordinator will help to create and implement plans to recruit volunteers to address the unique needs of specific subsets of foster youth such as those with Limited English Proficiency, LGBTQ youth, those who are vulnerable to trafficking and older youth preparing to age out of foster care to adulthood. The Volunteer Coordinator will seek to recruit 80 volunteers to keep pace with the increased number of youth being served. The Volunteer Coordinator will also help with logistics for CASA volunteer trainings and work with staff to build and sustain a diverse volunteer pool.
This is an eleven-month, full-time (40 hours/week) position as a member of the Volunteer Maryland (VM) AmeriCorps program serving at Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)/Prince George’s County.
