May 2009- CASA/Prince George’s County partners with Fairfax CASA launches www.speakforthechildren.org. With the generous support of the Freddie Mac Foundation, CASA/Prince George’s County and Fairfax CASA have teamed-up to launch a metro area public relations campaign. As part of this effort to spread the word about CASA, an informative website, www.speakforthechildren.org, has been created to provide interested volunteers and community supporters with more information about the important role CASA plays in the lives of the children we serve. This website also includes a short video, so follow the link and learn more about CASA!
Change a Child’s Story
Children in foster care who have aCASA volunteer are more likely to succeed in school and adjust to change. And they’re half as likely to re-enter the foster care system later. By getting involved with CASA, you can make all the difference for a child who has experienced abuse or neglect in you community. Get involved, and change a child’s story.
